What we work on in A-Level Maths

Calculus, trigonometry, functions, mechanics and statistics. A-Level questions often connect several topics. We practise selecting an approach, carrying algebra accurately through longer solutions and explaining assumptions in mechanics and statistics.

Start with the work your child is doing now

Bring a recent marked paper, a difficult homework question or feedback from school to your assessment. We use that starting point to discuss priorities: understanding the material, applying it independently or answering more accurately under timed conditions.

Lessons matched to the qualification

Tell us the exam board, specification and, where relevant, tier or optional modules. We confirm tutor coverage during matching. We use your course requirements to plan practice; we do not assume that every board teaches and assesses the same material.

Connect schoolwork to engineering

Our engineering pathway adds perspective on how these skills support future study. Subject tutoring remains focused on your child’s current course and priorities; admissions preparation can be discussed separately.

How tutoring works

  1. Assessment. Tell us your subjects, qualification, exam board and goals.
  2. Tutor match. We consider subject needs, learning style and your medicine or engineering pathway. Confirm exam-board coverage and availability before starting.
  3. Online lessons. Work through explanations, practice and feedback with your tutor.
  4. Parent updates. Monthly progress reports explain what is improving and what comes next.

What does tutoring cost?

Our standard 1:1 plan is £160 per month for four one-hour sessions, equivalent to £40 per hour. Compare all plans and confirm the right package for your academic and admissions support.

Questions parents ask

Can you help with Maths exam technique?

Yes. We can work through marked questions, identify where marks are lost and practise clear, complete solutions.

Does my child need a specific university in mind?

No. We can focus on current academic needs while your child explores medicine or engineering.

Can we join from anywhere in the UK?

Yes. All lessons are online. Confirm your qualification and exam board during the assessment so we can match the support appropriately.
